Don’t need a man – The Web Series

man

This is the dramatic story of a woman who insists she doesn’t need a man in her life. An uptight,  high end fashion designer Kamogelo Pitso (Koketso Motlhabane) who hasn’t dated in 10 years, is convinced by her pushy friend and biggest client, Sophia (Didie Makobane), her bully of a sister Tumi (Millicent Mashile) and her colourful best friend, Stoney to finally go on a date with a man.

“Stories about love and relationships are relatable and never get old. The most exciting thing about telling this one was the breaking of the fourth wall, with the protagonist, Kamo constantly addressing the camera as if speaking to her friend, I want the audience to feel exactly that, like they are Kamo’s friend” says Director and Producer Lebohang Motaung.

The series also features : Mpho Sibeko – ‘PULE’, Lethabo Bereng – ‘STONEY’, Masego Thobega – ‘NEO’.

“I worked with such an amazing cast. Koketso Motlhabane leads the incredible cast of DON”T NEED a man with grace and precision. There’s a natural, innocent  rawness that comes with her as a perfomer, that really worked well for the character.” Says Lebohang Motaung. Koketso Motlhabane holds a BA Degree in Motion Picture as well as a BA Honours in Live Performance from AFDA. Her theatre experience includes  performances in plays: The Caucasian Chalk Circle, The Talented Tenth, Agnes of God, to name a few. Her on screen appearances include Mzansi Magic’s Call Centre as Dikeledi, Lady in Red, as Lady in Red as well as The Queen as Doctor.  Although she’s had  TV appearances,  Don’t need a man marks her debut as a “leading lady”.
