From the directors of AssitejSA’s Naledi Theatre Award winning show: ‘Just Antigone’, comes a tale told through lyrical prose, poetry and physical storytelling, entwined to interrogate the rules that govern life on earth, such as: power; creation; politics; connection and intuition.
The expression of the performer’s spiritual ‘Source’ gives the audience a baton to walk through their own paradigm of ontology. The poetry, prose and stories furnish us with the necessary tools for a deep meditation. It begs the question (or theory) of being, becoming and unbecoming.
After Six months of developmental work, Tswalo first premiered at the PopArt Theatre in Maboneng, Johannesburg. It also ran at the The Alexander Bar, Café&Theatre in Cape Town and was commissioned by the Soweto Theatre for its ‘Solo Work Program.’
The show is back at the PopArt Theatre with only three runs so be sure to book seats.
